Recommend me a book based on what I like?

Kafka's short stories, in particular "The Hunger Artist" Really, a full Kafka collection would do. I enjoyed East of Eden more than Gs of Wrath, though I like both, so maybe you would too. I liked Little Women around the time I like Jane Eyre, so I would suggest that also.
