Are there ADD meds that rarely cause depression as a side effect?
Growing up I was an ADHD kid, and now I'm an ADHD adult. :) And meds really vary from person to person. I worked in community mental health for several years and I've found that, as a general rule, Ritalin is generally the least harsh medication. The downside is that it metabolizes very regularly and it's in an out of your system in four hours (and it peaks in two.) So if you don't mind taking the med a couple times per day, that may be a viable choice for you. I hope for the best for you and your daughter. :)
