If the US opposes wmd so much when will a leader committ to total nuclear disarmament?

The US is the only nation to have ever used nuclear weapons. In its terrorist attack on Hiroshima it murdered thousands of men, women and children Yet now it tells us WMD are bad. Do you believe this is hypocrisy.
