Any Republicans against the GOP picking Steele? Don't they think voters realize he's their token man?

As a Republican, Although I very much like Mikey Steele, I'm thinking this was a very bad move. Doesn't the GOP think voters are aware that they just picked this man because he's black ? Especially immediately after Mitch McConnell addressed GOP leaders about reaching out to minority voters ? Why is the Republican party continuing to move left and playing politics and acting like a bunch of liberal Democrats ? Thanks for your answers. God bless.
