My landlord will not return my deposit - says I damaged the room?

No matter what country you are in -carpet issues are a common reason to deny return of a deposit. It would have been nice if you cleaned up better-but that's done. File claim for your money and if the owner cant present pictures -chances are you will win this case. Receipts for cleaning or repairs will not be sufficient proof.
